April monthly report

April has been a bit of a break-out month for me. With 48 hours of the month to go (but no more poker), I'm happy to report a profit of $502, the majority of which has come in the last week. I'm up $739 for the year to date; my bankroll is now $1765. This has been my most profitable month since December 2010. Here are a few more hands:

Hand 2
I don't see my 98 being any good here. I decide to make two attempts at hitting my ugly draw. There were two possible bluff lines open to me: (1) patting and betting or raising the flop, and (2) drawing and then raising the flop or turn (if I hit a straight, say) to induce a break. I decided to just let it go.

I've tried micro cash PLO8 with no success but I cashed in a tourney today. I wasn't sure whether to call pre with this rainbow hand but I was getting good odds. I then took some time in deciding whether to see the turn with my wrap-around straight draw.

Wages was a terrible player who habitually drew three. I basically didn't trust him. Then when Chopper capped the flop I didn't know what to think. My draw wasn't really good enough to break my hand so I clung on grimly to it.
